white urn. flower or evergreen?

Hi, I have 2 white stone looking urns (they made with fiberglass) I’d love to put outside with something. so here’s questions
1, basket of flower or pot of evergreen which looks good?
2, can I put whole basket/pot in urn? if so do I have to make holes at the bottome so H2o will drain?
3, if it’s not working, do I have to put earth in whole urn?
is any good tips for using them please!! thank you

I would mix ivy with flowering plants, very much as you would plant a hanging basket. If the urns are to be outside, you may need to make a drainage hole at the bottom so that they don’t get waterlogged. You can fill the bottom half (approximately) with vermiculite or polystyrene if you want to make them lighter to move about. You will only need about four or five inches of soil.
